1840 Robert returned to Cambridge and with assistance from his father he set a drapery business

1849 Married at Kensworth to Priscilla Caroline Ginger and had five sons and five daughters

1883 October 05th. Died, of Leighton House, Trumpington, Draper and silk mercer of Shanghai, Hong Kong and Singapore.
