1862 Partnership change. '...the Partnership heretofore subsisting between us the undersigned, James Ultley, Thomas Cheetham, John Buckley, Joseph Roberts, James Horrocks, Michael Kershaw, Stephen Hornby, George Horrocks, Samuel Andrew, Frederick Pickering, and John Marland, as Ironfounders and Machinists, at Stalybridge, in the county of Lancaster, under the style or firm of Uttley, Cheetham, and Co., has this day been dissolved by mutual consent, so far as regards the said James Uttley; and that the business will in future be curried on by the said Thomas Cheetham, John Buckley, Joseph Roberts, James Horrocks, Michael Kershaw, Stephen Hornby, George Horrocks, Samuel Andrew, Frederick Pickering, and John Marland, under the style or firm of Roberts, Buckley, and Co., who will pay and receive all debts owing from and to the said late firm of Uttley, Cheetham, and Co....'[1]

1863 Partnership change. '...the Partnership heretofore subsisting between the undersigned, Thomas Cheetham, John Buckley, Joseph Roberts, James Horrocks, Michael Kershaw, Stephen Hornby, George Horrocks, Samuel Andrew, Frederick Pickering, and John Marland, carrying on business as Iron Founders and Machinists, at Stalybridge, in the county of Lancaster, under the style or firm of Roberts, Buckley, and Co., has been this day dissolved by mutual consent. All debts due to and owing by the said firm will be received and paid by the said John Buckley, Joseph Roberts, James Horrocks, Michael Kershaw, Stephen Hornby, George Horrocks, Samuel Andrew, Frederick Pickering, and John Marland, who will in future carry on the said business on their own account, under the said style or firm of Roberts, Buckley, and Co...'[2]

1863 ROBERTS, BUCKLEY, & CO., having been appointed makers of George Mayall, jun.’s Patent STEAMING APPARATUS for Surat or other Cotton, are now prepared to execute all orders with despatch. The apparatus as applied to Andrew and Hornby's patent cotton opener, of which they are the sole makers, renders it the best combination in use, as no extra labour is required.— For circular and further information, apply to ROBERTS, BUCKLEY, and CO. (late Uttley, Cheetham, and Co.), Machinists, Queen-street Ironworks, Stalybridge.'[3]

1866 Partnership change. '...the Partnership between the undersigned, Joseph Roberts, John Buckley, Frederick Pickering, James Horrocks, George Horrocks, Stephen Hornby, Samuel Andrew, and John Marland, and the late Michael Kershaw, in the trade or business of Machinists, at Queen-street Iron Works, in Stalybridge, in the county of Lancaster, under the firm of Roberts, Buckley, and Co., was dissolved on the 22nd day of May, 1865, by the death of the said Michael Kershaw, so far as relates to the said Michael Kershaw; and in future the business will be carried on by the said Joseph Roberts, John Buckley, Frederick Pickering, James Horrocks, George Horrocks, Stephen Hornby, Samuel Andrew, and John Marland, on their separate account, who will pay and receive all debts owing from and to the said partnership...'[4]

1869 Partnership change. '...the Partnership heretofore -*A subsisting between the undersigned, Joseph Roberts, John Buckley, James Horrocks, George Horrocks, Stephen Hornby, Samuel Andrew, and Frederick Pickering, and the late John Marland, in the trade or business of Machinists, at Stalybridge, in the county of Lancaster, and elsewhere, under the firm of Roberts, Buckley, and Co., was dissolved on the 14th day of November last, by the death of the said John Marland; and the business has since been, and will continue to be, carried on by the surviving partners on their own account, and who will pay and receive all debts due and owing from and to the said partnership in the regular course of trade...'[5]

1872 Partnership change. '... the Partnership heretofore subsisting between the undersigned, Joseph Roberts, John Buckley, James Horrocks, George Horrocks, Samuel Andrew, and Frederick Pickering, and the late Stephen Hornby, in the trade or business of Machinists, at Stalybridge, in the county of Lancaster, and elsewhere, under the firm of Roberts, Buckley, and Co., was dissolved on the 25th day of Way list, by the death of the said Stephen Hornby. And the business has since been and will continue to be carried on by the surviving partners on their own account, and they will pay and receive all debts due and owing from and to the said partnership in the regular course of trade...'[6]
