Ross and Monmouth Railway

This 12.5 mile line ran along the Wye Valley and opened in 1873. It closed in 1959 and parts are now used for the Wye Valley walk. [1]

1865 The company was incorporated.

1908 The railway (12.5 miles in length) is worked by the Great Western Railway. [2]

1923 Became part of the Great Western Railway. [3]
