From Graces Guide

Note: This is a sub-section of Royal Aircraft Factory.

First flown on 24th June 1912 by Geoffrey de Havilland, this was structurally identical to the B.E.3. It was handed over to the Royal Flying Corps on 8th August. It was given the number 204.

It was fitted with a 50-hp Gnome and later replaced by a 70-hp Version.

Two other examples were built by a private contractor. It is possible another was built.
