S. Davall & Sons Ltd was formed in 1925. In the 1930s cheaper movements from Germany forced Davall to cut their prices, and eventually they sold the business to Dimier in 1933. The two sons were dismissed but Stephen Davall was retained, but joined his sons in their new gear cutting business in 1935. Did this become the Davall Gear Co? In 1937 Dimier sold the company to Bentima. Davall's clockmaking merged with Perivale in the 1950s. In the 1960s Bentima ceased clockmaking, but continued to use the Davall name for making electronic equipment.[5]

Presumably part of the business became Davall Gear Co.
