Samuel Crompton (1817-1891)
Grandson to Samuel Crompton.
Native to Lancashire, he was a medical practitioner in Grosvenor Street, Manchester and surgeon to Henshaw's blind asylum.
He was the author, among other works, of a 'Treatise upon the Causes of Blindness'.[1]
