Samuel Fielding (c1824-1874) of Fielding and Platt

1855 Went to Gloucester to work for William Eassie and Sons

Became a partner with John Gillett in the Atlas ironworks

1861 Living at 9 Clarence Town, Hempstead, Gloucester: Samuel Fielding (age 37 born Middleton), Model Maker. With his wife Sarah Fielding (age 33 born Middleton) and their two sons James Fielding (age 14 born Middleton), Pupil Teacher, and John Fielding (age 11 born Middleton).[1]

1871 Living at 1 Victoria Place, Gloucester: Samuel Fielding (age 47 born Middleton), Engineer and Founder employing 100 men and 30 boys. With his wife Sarah Fielding (age 43 born Middleton) and their two sons James Fielding (age 24 born Middleton), Engineers Clerk, and John Fielding (age 21 born Middleton), Engineers Draughtsman.[2]

1874 March 31st. Died. Probate shows him as an Engineer and Machinist of Gloucester.
