1833 Born in Leaton, Salop, the son of William Withers, a Carpenter.

With his wife Martha Withers (age 48 born Montgomeryshire) and their children; Fredrick Withers (age 21 born Salop), Coach Painter; Samuel Withers (age 17 born Salop), Coach Builder; Amilia Withers (age 15 born Salop); George Withers (age 13 born Salop); Edith Withers (age 10 born Salop); and Polly Withers (age 4 born Salop).
