1897 Sawer and Purves became part of Meters Ltd

1928 Goad's Insurance Plans for Manchester, Map 210 dated 1928, shows the Manchester premises located in a block defined by Nelson, Thomas, Varley and James Streets. The largest building was approx 200 ft long and three storeys high, and incorporated the machine shop, tinsmiths, tool room, packing room, testing room and index shop.
