1964 Mill engine photographed by Rex Wailes, who recorded that it was a 1500 HP cross-compound engine by Daniel Adamson and Co in 1907. Cylinders 27" and 56" bore, 5 ft stroke, Corliss valves, 36-rope flywheel, 24 ft diameter, 65.5 rpm. Photo here.[1]. Photo of mill here.
