1896 The Scottish Cyanide Company Limited was incorporated with capital of £200,000 to acquire certain patent rights, and to carry on the business of manufacturers of cyanides and ferro-cyanides. The registered office of the company was to be at 20 George Street, Edinburgh.[1]

1905 The Scottish Cyanide Company Limited, Kirkland Works, Leven, Fife, was incorporated, with capital of £50,000, to take over and acquire the business of the Scottish Cyanide Company Limited, in liquidation, and to carry into effect a scheme of arrangement approved by the creditors and shareholders of the company.[2]
