1900 The Scottish Motor Company Limited was registered, with capital of £10,000, to carry on the business of buying and selling motor cars and motor cycles, hiring and constructing the same, and acting as agents for the manufacturers, holding exhibitions or shows of motor cars, organising races or public tests of their speed and endurance, and to do anything which the company may think will conduce to the successful accomplishment of these objects.[1]
