Born the son of Thomas Illingworth, a Professor of singing.

1941 Died. 'Death Of Former City Manufacturer. Mr. Seba Illingworth, the last living founder-member of the Bradford Permanent Orchestra has died at his home, St. James Road, Ilkley, in his eighty-ninth year. Mr. Illingworth. who up to 1904 was in business in Bradford as a waste dealer and canvas-bag manufacturer and founded the firm of S. and H. Illingworth. Ltd., Quebec Street, Bradford, devoted himself to music throughout his life. He He played an organ from the of 12, and even in the closing of his life he was still an accomplished pianist.
