of Slough, tyre maker

Subsidiary of Semperit Oesterreichische-Amerikanische Gummiwerke AG of Austria

Late 1960s: Semperit (UK) Ltd made its first inroads into the British market primarily with car tyres, when the then new tyre regulations imposed greater strain on indigenous supplies. Such was the success that a new factory was built in Dublin to meet the demand.[1]

1969 The British subsidiary of Semperit AG was Semperit Rubber Manufacturing Co Ltd of Barking[2]

1973 Semperit of Austria merged with Kleber of France; tyre production in Austria would be expanded.[3]
