1971 Jute Industries (Holdings) Ltd changed its name to Sidlaw Industries

1981 Changed name to Sidlaw Group plc

1989 Merger with HPC Group plc; formation of Packaging Division; acquisition of Transrap Holdings of Derbyshire; other divisions were Textiles and Oil Services[1]

1991 Acquired Venus Flexible Packaging of Derby.

By 1994 the Group had moved to Edinburgh and planned to sell off the textiles division[2]

1999 The company specialised in flexible packaging; it was acquired by Danisco A/S.[3]
