Sidmouth Railway

1862 Incorporated. An 8.25 mile line from Sidmouth to the Ottery Road Station London and South Western Railway that opened in 1874 and was primarily a tourist traffic route. [1]

1868 Engineer is Galbraith and Tolme.[2]

1871 The company was incorporated.

1908 The line, 8 miles in length, is worked by the London and South Western Railway. [3]

1923 Became part of Southern Railway. [4]

1967 Closed
