1969 He was technical purchasing officer at BOAC for seven years, and worked for four years on setting up the purchasing and stores function at Fibreglass Ltd. He has been with a nationalized industry for thirteen years, where he now holds an executive position in purchasing.

Mr Calvert is a Fellow of the Institute of Purchasing and Supply, a member of its education committee, chairman of the sub-committee on aids to lectures, and chief assessor of examination papers on storage and stock control. [1]
