c.1889 Frederick Simms negotiated British patent rights for Daimler engines
1890 He founded Simms & Co., consulting engineers, which introduced Daimler engines into the United Kingdom, applying them to launches.
1891 The company was formed in June 1891 by Frederick Simms and his lawyer Alfred Hendriks
c.1893 Hendriks left the partnership[1]
1893 Simms established the Daimler Motor Syndicate to handle the Daimler part of the business.
1895 Simms sold Daimler Motor Syndicate to the financier Harry Lawson and partners, which led to the foundation of British Motor Syndicate.
1907 Simms established Simms Magneto Co
1912 Listed as ignition specialists.
1913 Simms established Simms Motor Units
1937 Frederick Simms was still operating as a consulting engineer at his offices in Pall Mall[2]
