1973 Smith and Davis (Hardware) was acquired by Delta Metal Co as part of its policy of concentrating on high added value products[2]

1974 Wednesbury factory employed 500 people with a further 70 being employed at an associated works in Cannock. 1,500 separate catalogue items in regular production in brass.[3]
