There are currently two bridges carrying Soar Lane over the waterways immediately downstream of Evans' Weir.

Cast Iron Arch Bridge

This attractive bridge has two cast iron arches crossing the Grand Union Canal. It has been attractively restored, and has small shields with the date 1879 and the initials MR, presumably Midland Railway. Some of the arch rib castings are marked W. Richards and Son Leicester. At mid span the arches abut against each other and are supported by the masonry pier, rather than springing from the pier. This arrangement is fairly unusual.

Geograph entry here.

Note: Soar Lane Lifting Bridge was immediately adjacent to this bridge.

Cast Iron Beam Bridge

This carries Soar Lane over the River Soar on plain cast iron beams, with wrought iron balustrades.

Railway Bridge (removed)

Only the abutments and piers of this bridge remain.
