1904 June 14th. Formed. 'A large and representative meeting held at Glastonbury Abbey, by the invitation of Mr. Austin, it was unanimously resolved to form a Somerset Automobile Club.'[1]

1904 August 06th. 'A meeting of the members of this club was held at the Grand Atlantic Hotel, Weston-super-Mare, on Saturday afternoon. A very high wind prevailed, and this, with the showers experienced in the morning, undoubtedly prevented a thoroughly representative muster. The membership of the club stands at about 80, and of this number some 25 members, with their cars attended. '[2]

1906 AGM. Chairman is J. J. Jackson-Barstow of Weston-super-Mere.[3]
