South Scotland Electricity Scheme
1931 The ninth scheme proposed to the Central Electricity Board for linking up the national electricity network. The area had low demand but substantial resources for hydro-power that could be exploited through connection to the Grid. Selected stations were at:[1]
- Galashiels
- 5 proposed hydro-stations at Galloway.
