1890 Company formed to take over the Ainley-Oakes (Harry Francis Ainley and Albert Charles Oakes) and Tyler-Ellis (Alfred Hugh Tyler and John Stuart Ellis de Vesian) patents. Engineers who were also directors included R. E. Middleton, Albert Charles Oakes and Frederick Goddard. Consulting engineers were Tyler and Ellis. [1]
