1971 Acquired Tillotsons[1]

1977 Acquired Reed and Smith[2]

1984 The US parent company was taken over after an acrimonius battle.

1985 St Regis took over Mardon Packaging International.

1985 Most of St Regis's UK operations were sold to management as St Regis Holdings[3] - this included Tillotsons, Reed and Smith, and the corrugated packaging part of Mardon Packaging[4]

1986 D. S. Smith acquired St Regis[5]

1996 Was the largest paper and board manufacturer in the UK[6]
