1900 Stanbury and Son, Victoria Flour Mills, Barnstaple.[1]

1931 New company. 'We are authoritatively informed that the Victoria Flour Mills, Barnstaple, one of the largest milling concerns in the West of England, established many years ago, have changed hands, and a new company styled Messrs. Stanbury and Son. Ltd., perpetuating the former name of the firm, has been formed to take over and operate the mills as from Monday next. The directorate will consist of London gentlemen, and Mr. E. H. Baker, late owner, will be with the new company, which will continue in business as flour and provender millers as usual. Alterations and additions the plant, both inside and outside the mills, are contemplated make them thoroughly up-to-date, and improve business of the mills already very successful venture of their excellent geographical position North Devon, and the progressive the late owner. This will welcome news to many for the mills employ large number of hands.'[2]

1931 New company. 'Private company. Registered: August 26, 1931. Capital: £1,000, in £1 shares. Objects: To carry on the business of flour millers and dealers, corn, grain, and seed merchants, and millers, manufacturers of and dealers flour, meal, grain, offal, and other products, &c. The directors are: W. Watkinson, 66, Draycott-avenue, Kenton, Middlesex, secretary; E. Corke, 18, Princes-drive, Wealdstone, Middlesex, secretary; A. M. Baker, Notley, Avenue-road. Chelmsford, Essex, clerk.'[3]
