Stanley Norfolk

of 115 High Road, Lee, London
Norfolk were motorcycles produced at Lee in South East London, in 1902, by Stanley Norfolk.
Only one or two of these typically primitive machines were built. The engine was a 3.75hp MMC, hung from the downtube of a heavy-duty bicycle frame, with direct-belt drive. The headstock of the frame was suitably strengthened and rim brakes were fitted. The maker claimed that a top speed of 40mph/64kmh was achievable on the flat.
