Sir Stenson Cooke was born in 1874.
He was Secretary of the Automobile Association from its inception in 1905, and was well known throughout the Industry for his untiring work during the thirty-seven years which he served in this capacity.
During the last war he served as a staff officer at the War Office, and was later appointed Controller of Supplies under the Ministry of National Service.
He died on 19th November, 1942, at the age of 68.
He was elected an Associate in 1913.
