Considered the most progressive of the four brothers and was keen on the diesel tractor
Helped produce the Garrett Crawley Agrimotor in 1914

1915 Obituary We regret to have to record that amongst the officers killed at the battle of Neuve Chapelle on the 12th inst. was Captain Stephen Garrett, of the 4th Suffolk Regiment, Territorials. Captain Garrett was the third son of Mr. Frank Garrett, of Aldringham, and was a director of Richard Garrett and Sons, Limited, of Leiston. He was educated at Rugby and at Trinity College, Cambridge, and was thirty-six years of age.[1]
