1933 Death of Fred Broughton, a director.[1]

1959 Death of Frank Broughton. 'Joint managing director of Stonebridge Cotton Manufacturing Co. Ltd., Mr. Frank Broughton, of "The Coppy,” Red Lane, Colne, died on Tuesday night in hospital. He was in his sixtieth year. The concern also has mills in Chatburn and Manchester., : Mr. Broughton, a member of Colne Golf Club, was working at the Colne mill as recently as last week. The firm was founded by his grandfather, Mr. Roger Broughton, and has been established in Colne about 75 years and in Chatburn for about half a century. Mr. Broughton leaves a widow. His brother, Mr. Neville Broughton, is also joint managing director of the company.'[2]

1971 Employs 120 persons but 25 to be redundant at North Valley Road, Colne, site. Langroyd Mill not affected. Harry Broughton is director.[3]
