Strathdee Distillery
100 Great Western Road, Aberdeen
1821 The business was established by Henry Ogg and operated as Henry Ogg and Company but, alternatively, as the Strathdee Distillery Company. At the time of Alfred Barnard's visit annual production was between 45,000 and 55,000 gallons of Highland malt whisky.[1]
1895 The business was purchased by David Walker, an Aberdeen malt whisky distiller. [2] The distillery had been closed for a couple of years prior to the takeover and now reopened under the management of David Walker, late of the Bon-Accord Distillery.[3]
