Streatham Hill and Kennington Cable Tramway

1890 The London Tramways Company obtained powers for converting the line and working it on the cable system.

The work was carried out under Mr. W. W. Colam, M. Inst. C. E.

1892 Completion of the cable tramway through Kennington and Brixton to Streatham Hill, about 2.5 miles in length.

Expected that such lines could be worked very much lower cost than that when horses were used.
