1920 Stylo Boot Co, Northgate, Halifax.[1], a family-run business.
1936 The consolidation of three separate companies into The Style Boot Co (Northern) Ltd. The company was floated on the London Stock Exchange.
1942 The 6th OGM held. Max Ziff is Chairman. N. Heaps re-elected as a director.[2]
1952 'Neville Ziff is a director of the Stylo Boot Co., Ltd.. of which his father is chairman and managing director.'[3]
1959 Renamed as Style Shoes Ltd
1964 Having grown to 150 outlets, Stylo bought W. Barratt and Co, and merged the two businesses, with HQ in Bradford.
1973 W. Barratt and Co Ltd was renamed Style Barratt Shoes Ltd of Bradford[4]
1999 Launched Priceless as a self-service shoe retailer.
2008 Acquired 24 stores and the brand name from Dolcis when it collapsed.
2009 Company collapsed with 220 stores closing and 160 stores sold to management team led by Michael ziff.
