Swilgate Road Footbridge, Tewkesbury
Crosses the River Swilgate south of Swilgate Road, Tewkesbury.
This is a small c.1850 footbridge, having a cast(?) iron deck and wrought iron railings supported on a brick central pier and abutments, capped by sandstone. The plates are reinforced with 2 ribs each under the walkway, and have edge beams which rise to the centre. See Historic England entry for details and map.
The British Listed Buildings website entry includes a photo of the bridge.
The bridge was refurbished in 2022.
