1936 Company made public. Messrs Sermon and Waller, founding managing directors of the company, sold their shares to W. H. Botsford and Co[3]. The new managing director was J. E. Chamberlain who had worked for 15 years for Hewittic Electric Co.
1960 Combined Electrical Manufacturers Ltd formed as a public company to amalgamate Hackbridge and Hewittic Electric Co Ltd and Switchgear and Cowans Ltd[4].
1961 Electrical engineers specialising in high and low voltage switchgear and mining switchgear. 1,200 employees. [5]
1964 Part of Combined Electrical Manufacturers Ltd[6].
