1812 Sale notice: 'Useful Household Furniture, Mechanical Tools, &c.
TO BE SOLD BY AUCTION, By DAVIS and SON, ON Monday, April 6, 1812,
PART of the household furniture, tools, &c. of The. Rev. T. LUDLAM, deceased, On the premises, in Southgate Street, Leicester. Consisting of useful trundle and couch bedsteads, a valuable officers sea cot complete, capital large mahogany easy chair, on rollers, nearly new, mahogany card, oak and other tables, chairs, china and glass, chest of drawers, corner cupboard, a pair of Venetian blinds, capital large copper boiler, with discharger, very suitable for an Inn; large deal partition safe on a peculiar construction, marble and bell-metal mortars, brass pots and pans, oak mortar frame, &c. &c.
Also, after the sale goods, about 3 o'clock in the afternoon, a capital turning lathe, made by the late Rev. Wm. Ludlam, a valuable assortment of mechanical tools, consisting of a large pair of forge bellows and forge, in excellent condition, pair of very good vice, saws, hammers, files, hand-vice, with a great variety of other articles, ladders, &c &c.
Sale to begin in the morning at ten o'clock.
Mr Ludlam being well known as as a mechanic of distinguished abilities, there requires no comment on the superior choice of the above tools. [1]
