1965 Construction of the distillery started at Tomnavoulin, near Ballindalloch.

1967 The Tamnavulin-Glenlivet Distillery Company Limited was incorporated on 13th September to operate the new facility, which has been built to meet increasing demand for whisky. It was a subsidiary of Invergordon Distillers.[1]
