Teaninich Distillery

From Graces Guide

of Alness

1817 The distillery was founded by Captain Hugh Munro of Teaninich. By the 1860s John McGilchrist Ross was the proprietor and remained so until Elgin blenders Munro and Cameron took over in the 1890s, with the assets passed to Robert Innes Cameron as sole owner in 1904/5.

1933 Following the death of Robert Innes Cameron, the distillery was bought by Scottish Malt Distillers. The deal, which was for an undisclosed but substantial sum, included the Cameron interests in the Linkwood Distillery.[1]
