Ground clay is fed automatically to presses, which mould the bricks at high pressure between heated dies; pressure is applied in four steps, each progressively stronger than the last - which gave rise to the company's trade mark "Phorpres."
1923 Formed from the merger of the London Brick Co and B. J. Forder and Son.[1]
1936 Company name changed to London Brick Co.
