The company was registered May 28, 1897, to take over a forty years’ lease (which in 1900 was extended to an eighty years’ lease), from March 25, 1897, of the Theatre Royal, Drury Lane, W.C., at a rental commencing at £5,000 per annum, and increasing up to £6,550, to carry on the business of theatrical proprietors, and to acquire stage properties.
