1898 Thomas Barr Limited was registered, with a share capital of £150,000, to acquire, carry on, and further develop the business of Mr Thomas Barr, wholesale wine and spirit merchant and whisky blender, of Glasgow.[1]

1917 The company went into voluntary liquidation.[2]
