TO BE SOLD BY PUBLIC AUCTION, IMPORTANT and Established ENGINERING WORKS of THOMAS BARRACLOUGH & CO LIMITED, hitherto carried at Whitley-street, Rochdale-road, Manchester. The company has large and valuable connection in England and abroad, as makers of Telegraph and Electric Cable Machines, and also machines for ties, such as hemp and wire rope machines, cotton rope and cotton band machines, coir fibre machines, wire mattress machines, Ronalds' patent spinning machines &c. The Machinery and Plant consists of lathes, slotting, drilling and boring machines, steam hammer, two 10-ton travelling crane, &c.; also a valuable large assortment of valuable patterns, together with the stock and stores therein. The works are held on lease at a yearly rental of £286 5s., and are conveniently situated for the requirements of the business, and capable of extension......'[2]
