THOMAS EDGAR FELLOWS during the earlier portion of his professional career was associated with municipal engineering, but of recent years he had been actively concerned with the direction of various engineering and industrial firms.

He was born in 1878 and on the completion of his general education at Wolverhampton Grammar School, in 1893, was articled to the borough engineer, Mr. R. E. W. Berrington, to whom, on the latter subsequently entering into private practice as a consultant, he became an assistant and was employed on water supply schemes and sewage disposal works.

In 1900, at the early age of 22, he was appointed engineer and surveyor to the Willenhall (Staffs) Urban District Council and for twenty-one years continued to be engaged in all branches of municipal engineering. The various positions he held in recent years included those of chairman of S. J. and E. Fellows, Ltd., stampers, and The Crane Foundry Company, Ltd., at Wolverhampton. He was also a director of the Midland Tar Distillers Company, Ltd.

Mr. Fellows, whose death occurred on 2nd October 1944, was elected an Associate Member of the Institution in 1903.
