1916 Obituary [1]

THOMAS EDWARD DODGSON died suddenly at his residence, Granby House, Parkgate, on July 24, 1916, at the age of sixty-two years. He was born at Parkgate, where he also received his early education.

He began his business career at the Parkgate Works in 1868, advancing gradually until he was promoted to the position of assistant manager. In 1900 he became works manager and, in 1911, succeeded to the chief control of the establishment.

He was elected a member of the Iron and Steel Institute in 1900.
