Appointed assistant executive engineer in the Public Works Dept of the Punjab Circle

Awarded a medal with 2 clasps for his actions during the Punjab campaign

1857 During the Indian Mutiny he escaped from Birtpore to Agra

1858 Promoted Captain

1859 Superintendent of the Western Jumna canals

1866 Promoted Lieut.-Colonel

1870 Retired with the honorary rank of Colonel

1881 died in Prussia, a Colonel in the Royal Engineers[1]
