We record with regret the death on March 11th of Mr. Thomas McMurray, a director and London representative of Wm. Simons and Co., Ltd., shipbuilders and engineers, London Works, Renfrew.

Mr. McMurray, who was in his eightieth year, was born in Renfrew and served his apprenticeship with the company, becoming its London representative in 1906, and eight years later he was appointed a director.

He was a specialist in harbour and river dredging problems, and his knowledge was appreciated by many engineering consultants, the Admiralty and the ports and harbours authorities.
