1922 M.Inst.C.E., F.R. San.I., M.C.I., M.I.Water E., M.Inst.M. and Cy.E., Civil, Municipal and Water Engineer, City Engineer and Waterworks Engineer, Exeter; b. 1867. T. N.: 332 and 66 Exeter. Ed. Leeds and Bingley. Articled to Richard Armistead, Bingley and Bradford. Assistant to City Engineer of York, 1890-3; Deputy Surveyor, Wallasey, Cheshire, 1893-1900, and Exeter, 1900-2; City Engineer, Exeter, 1902 to date. Carried out the river wall and promenade, Wallasey. Isolation hospital, electric tramways, waterworks extension, reconstruction of sewers and many other municipal works.

1939 Residing at 2 Marlborough Road, Exeter, Civil Engineer and Surveyor.[1]
