Born the son of Thomas Ray Cavaghan (1847-1889), a Stone Mason.

1899 Married at Carlisle to Mary Davis and had three sons and five daughters

1900 Birth of son Tom Cavaghan (1900-1957)

1909 Birth of son Henry Davis Cavaghan (1909-1989)

1911 Birth of son George Cavaghan (1911-1941)

1937 Died. 'Mr. Tom Ray Cavagnan, chairman and Joint managing director Cavaghan and Gray Ltd., bacon curers. Carlisle, who died last Friday, aged 62, will be buried in Carlisle to-day. Mr. Cavaghan was one of the founders of the firm, and in his younger days was a Rugby Union player for Carlisle and Cumberland. His three sons have also played for their city and county.[1]
