Born at Heckmondwike the son of William Scatchard, a Blanket Raiser.

1911 Residing at Moor End Lane, Dewsbury: Thomas Scatchard (age 48 born Heckmondwike ), Blanket Merchant. With his wife Ellen, four daughters and sons Robert Bruce Scatchard and Eric Scatchard.[1]

1928 Director of Milletts Stores (1928). Of Moor End, Dewsbury, a Blanket Manufacturer.[2]

1939 Residing at 72 Heckmondwike Road, Dewsbury, a Blanket Merchant. With Ellen Scatchard.[3]

1949 Elected to the Textile Institute. T. Scatchard of Thomas Scatchard and Sons.[4]
