1907 The company was registered on 21 March, to acquire the business of Christmas cracker manufacturers and confectioners of the firm of the same name, and of chromo-lithographers of Smith, Val Rosa and Co. [1]

1914 Christmas Cracker Manufacturers and Wholesale Confectioners, Wilson Street, Finsbury Square, London, E.C. Hours of Business: Factory, 8 a.m. to 7 p.m.; Counting House, 9 a.m. to 6.30 p.m. (in the season later). Established in 1847 by Tom Smith. Incorporated: March, 1907. Premises: Four large buildings. Staff: Between 500 and 600. (For the benefit of the employees there is a Swimming Club and a Library.) Specialities: The Christmas Crackers for which the firm is known. all over the world.
