Trent Bridge, Gainsborough
Built by William Weston between 1787 and 1791. Three span masonry bridge. The overall width was 26 ft 3in. Cantilevered concrete walkways have were added in 1964.
The bridge is Weston's only known work in Britain as he left in 1792 for the USA, to serve as canal engineer and superintendent for the Schuylkill and Susquehanna Navigation Co.[1]
